Residence Hall Counselor

In a collaborative effort between Housing & Residential Life and University Counseling & Consulting Services (UCCS), a professional counselor is now available to meet with students in U of MN residence halls. Any student who lives on campus, regardless of hall or university apartment, is eligible to meet with a residence hall counselor.

Students may meet with a counselor for a variety of concerns, including personal, academic and/or career. Life as a student can be stressful at times. Some common concerns students will consult with a counselor about include feeling lonely or sad, difficulty transitioning to college life, homesickness, frustrating roommate situations, and stressful academic demands to name but a few. Currently, the UCCS counselor is available to meet with students in offices located in Frontier & Middlebrook Halls.
