Getting Involved in Your University Housing Community

Benefits of Getting Involved

Whether you were the most involved student in your high school or never were a member of any organization in your life, University housing student organizations are for you!

Getting involved in the residence hall/apartment complex can lead to many other opportunities later in your college career. By becoming involved you will:

  • Get to know a lot of people and be part of a community
  • Develop leadership skills
  • Influence the community environment of which you are part
  • Voice how residence hall/apartment complex government funding should be used
  • Plan activities in which you and your friends will want to participate

University Housing Employment Opportunities

Working in University Housing is not only a convenient way to make some money; it can also be a lot of fun! For job listings go to the Housing & Residential Life job page.

House/Community Meetings

Your Community Advisor (CA) will host a house meeting at the beginning of each semester, and your attendance will be expected at both of these important meetings. You will receive essential community information and get to know your neighbors and community members during these events. Please speak to your CA before your house meeting should you have a conflicting appointment or meeting.
