Faculty & Staff Guest Housing

**There will be no faculty & staff guest housing for the 2007-2008 academic year.**

Temporary accommodations are available October 1, 2007 - July 31, 2008 for visiting faculty and University guests in our comfortable and conveniently located guest apartments.

Accommodations

Fall 2007 & Spring 2008: One-bedroom units located at University Village.
Summer 2008: One-bedroom units in UV, and one and two-bedroom units in Wilkins Hall.
June & July 2008: Suites in Yudof Hall *

  • The guest apartments are completely furnished, including a bed (twin or queen size), linens, television, telephone, dishes and cookware.
  • Telephone service includes free local calls. Long distance calls may be made with a calling card.
  • Laundry facilities are located either in the building or in the apartment unit.
  • Computer ethernet jacks are available in all apartments. Please check with the apartment business office for activation requirements and instructions.
  • If available, parking contracts/reservations can be made through the information desk for UV guests at (612) 625-3909 and with the Parking & Transportation Office at (612) 626-7275 for Wilkins and Yudof guests.
  • Check-in time for the apartments is after 3:00 p.m. Check-out time is 11:00 a.m.
  • All units are non smoking.
  • Please note that we do not provide paper products or cleaning supplies. These items must be purchased or obtained by the guest.
  • A minimum stay of 7 nights is required in UV and Wilkins.
    * The suites in Yudof Hall have semi-private baths ( share with another suite). Please note that the amenities are not all offered in Yudof Hall (see Summer Guest Housing features). However, there is no minimum length of stay.

Rates for 2008-09

  • 1-bedroom apartment $66 to $68 per night
  • 2-bedroom apartment $78 to $80 per night (available only during Summer)
  • Suites apartment $44 to $47.90 per night ( Yudof only)  

A 5% discount will be applied for stays of 30 nights or longer.

Reservations

Reservations may only be made by a staff member of a University of Minnesota department.

A cancellation fee of 25% of the total bill will be charged for cancellations within two weeks of the reservation date. A 50% cancellation fee will be applied for a no show. Early departures, or late arrivals within the above-mentioned 2-week period, will not receive a refund.

Payment

Payment must be made through a University of Minnesota CUFS account.
