Important Dates and Deadlines

Prospective residents:

Deadline for Living Learning programs
March 1, 2010: Priority deadline for assignment to Living Learning programs for incoming freshman.

Deadline for guaranteed Housing space
May 1, 2010: Incoming First-Year-Freshman: Last day to apply to be guaranteed a University Housing space. The application-contract $25 non refundable application fee included must be received in Housing & Residential Life or postmarked by Tuesday, May 1, 2010 to be eligible for guaranteed housing.

Housing Guarantee payment due
May 15, 2010: Guaranteed residents for the Fall Semester 2010: payment of $250.00 must be received in Housing & Residential Life or postmarked by May 15, 2010. Non-payment will result in cancellation of your application-contract.

Nofication of room/apartment assignment and roommate(s)
July 31, 20010: Assigned Students: Notification of room/apartment assignment and roommate(s) for Fall Semester begins and continues through mid-late August.

Residence hall move-in (all incoming freshmen)
September 1, 2010: (Wednesday) All First Year freshmen only assigned to Residence Halls: Move in for fall   semester 2010 begins at 8:00 a.m.

Current residents:

Residence halls close for spring semester
May 15, 2010: Residence halls close for the spring semester at 8:00 p.m.

Room reapplication
January 19, 2010: Room Reapplication. Current housing residents begin the process to sign-up for their 2010-2011 room.

Housing Guarantee payment due
May 15, 2010: Returning Residence Hall Students: Housing Guarantee Payment of $250 must be received by Housing & Residential Life or postmarked by May 15, 2010. Failure to submit the $250 Guarantee payment will result in the cancellation of your 2010-2011 assignment/guarantee. This payment will appear as a credit on your student account.
Apartment Residents Only Reminder: Once a resident accepts an assignment to an apartment space, he/she cannot cancel their housing contract and will be charged for the full term of the apartment contract.

Spring semester opening
January 16, 2010: Residence halls open for Spring Semester at 8:00 a.m.

Spring semester close
May 15, 2010: Residence halls close for the spring semester at 8:00 p.m.

May session opening
Saturday, May 22, 2010: Residence halls open for May session at 8 a.m.

May session close
June 11, 2010: Residence halls close for May session at 8:00 p.m.

Summer term opening
June 12, 2010: Residence halls open for Summer Term at 8:00 a.m.

Summer 10 week term close
August 20, 2010: Residence halls close for Summer Term at 8 p.m.

11.5 month contract ends
July 31, 2010: 11.5 month contract ends at 8 p.m.

Apartment buildings move-in
August 15, 2010: Sunday  Students assigned to University apartments, Mark G. Yudof Hall, Roy Wilkins Hall and University Village: Move-in for fall semester 2010 begins at 8:00 a.m.

Residence hall move-in (all incoming freshmen)
August 31 and September 1, 2010: Tuesday and Wednesday  All First Year freshmen only assigned to Residence Halls: Move-in for fall semester 2010 begins at 8:00 a.m.

Residence hall move-in (returners, PSEO students, transfers, and all othere non-freshmen)
September 4, 2010:  Returning residents, PSEO students, Transfer students and all other non freshmen assigned to Residence halls: Move-in for fall semester 2010 begins at 8:00 a.m.
