Transfer students

The University of Minnesota offers a limited number of on-campus housing options for Transfer students. We have approximately 40 spaces reserved for Transfer students in Centennial Residence Hall through the Leaders in Transition: Transfer House. In addition, students can search our off-campus listings page (see link below) for many available apartments or rental houses in the area. Students with families can apply to live in Commonwealth Terrace Cooperative or Como Student Community Cooperative.

Housing options for transfer students

On-Campus Housing (spaces reserved for transfer students). Requirements: Must be a registered student. Must apply for the Leaders in Transition program (for reserved space). Students not wishing to take part in the Leaders in Transition program can apply, but are not guaranteed housing. Reserved space is limited and room contracts are given on a first come, first serve basis.
